Last Minute Projects!

I am so bad about this lately!  It’s the last day of the month and I’m just now completing projects for challenges that began at the beginning of the month.  I’m sorry!  One of these days I’ll get organized.

First off, I made this necklace to go along with two challenges.  The April Junk Funk Challenge at Smeared and Smudged was to use spools in your creations.  The April Bombshell Pin-Up Challenge was to alter something.

Here’s the necklace I made using the small rose stamp from the Rose’s Portrait set at Bombshell Stamps.

Next up is a card I made for the April Guest Designer Challenge and the Very Sketchy April Challenge at Smeared and Smudged.

I used an image from Simply Betty Stamps.

April Blissfull ATC Swap

Hello.  Just popping in to show you the ATC I sent and the one I received for the month of April from the Blissfull ATC Swap.  The theme was Springtime in Paris.

Here is the ATC I sent to my swap partner…

April Bombshell Hop!

This month the fabulous Alison chose an awesome theme for the monthly hop…an homage to Bettie Page!

For my project I was inspired by some of the jungle photos that the Queen of Pinups posed for.  Meow!

I used the A Pirates Life set from Bombshell Stamps for my card.  I drew the leopard spots on myself.

More details…I used hemp twine to make my vines.  Background paper from Create with TLC.  Image colored with Copics – C0, C5, 100, E00, E000, E13, E15, YG05.

It’s Smeared and Smudged Hop Time!

It’s that time again. Time for the Smeared and Smudged monthly member blog hop!  Our theme this month was “WHAT ARE YOU SCARED OF?”  We were supposed to share our phobias.

There really aren’t that many things I’m scared of, but the one thing that creeps me out beyond all else is CENTIPEDES!  This is partly to blame on the fact that I watched The Wrath of Khan too many times as a small child.(remember the things they put in their ears?)EEEK!

So here is my project, featuring one of these disgusting creatures…

I used Distress inks and my brayer for the background.  I used the Grate stamp from the Quoth the Raven set from Smeared Ink in white and black inks.  The nasty critter was a public domain image I found on wikimedia and colored with my Copics.

This also goes along with the current Smudgy Antics Anything Goes challenge.

ADFD Challenge #40

Sorry for the lack of posting…we’re all sick here.  Here’s a little gift tag I made for ADFD Challenge #40 “Found Paper”

I used some cardboard packaging to make the actual tag, and used some old tissue paper for the background.

All Gothed Up

OK, so here’s another one of those last minute things I was talking about.  LOL.  This one is for the current challenge over at Beyond the Burtonesque Dolls.  The challenge was to Goth Up Those Cuties! – to take something cute and make it a bit darker.  Just up my alley!

I took this journal…

And altered the front to look like this…

I gave her some dark eye shadow and some fishnets.

This bow-like thing is just a scrap of fabric that I burnt the edges on.  I’m a bit of a pyromaniac, tee hee.

The stamp I used is from The Greeting Farm.  The sentiment stamp and the paper are Martha Stewart.

From Yesterday

I was so last minute with everything last month.  I’m really hoping to be more timely with things in April.  Having said that, I will probably be back later today with more last minute projects to show you.Winking smile

I made this card for the March Rock N’ Rolla Inspiration Challenge on Smeared and Smudged.  I did manage to post it over there before March was over, but I’m just now getting it posted here.

I don’t usually go for a CAS look, but I kind of like how this one turned out.

The gun stamp is from the Retro Cowgirls set from Bombshell Stamps.

Some Sent Swaps

Here are some things I sent out for swaps in March.

This ATC was for the March Blissfull ATC Swap.  The frame stamp and the background dress form stamp are from The Girls’ Paperie.

And this one was for the March Blissfull WTA winner.  Owl image was one I found on wikimedia commons.

And these were for the March Smeared and Smudged ATC swap.  The tree stamp is from Taylored Expressions, and the bird stamp is from Character Constructions.
