Next is Betty Sexy Legs.

Betty Shower Surprise (I couldn’t resist using one of the other Burlesque sentiments for this one)

Movie Magic Monthly First Challenge!!

Hello!  I’m very excited to tell you that there is a new challenge blog that is sure to be a blast to play along with.  And I’m even more excited to tell you that I have the privilege of being one of the Design Team members!  Here’s the skinny…  The challenge blog is Movie Magic Monthly.  Every month on the 10th a new challenge goes up.  Then you have a WHOLE MONTH (sorry for shouting) to play along.  And you can play along however many times you want to!  Each challenge is based on a film, or a collection of films, so you can make whatever your little heart desires, as long as it’s a new project based on the current month’s film. Smile  Sounds pretty awesome, huh?  So, what’s our first challenge?

Yep, it’s Alice in Wonderland!

I love Alice, so this was not a hard film for me to be inspired by.  I decided to do something a bit different for this one.  I painted a canvas panel, then I did some writing on it, then I added an awesome image from Rick St. Dennis, mounted on a wobble.  And because I felt like something was missing, I added the gears to the corners.  See…

The words are lyrics from Welcome to Mystery by Plain White T’s, from the Altered Alice soundtrack.

Because of the wobble, the kitty wiggles, so I tried to capture that in this picture, but my camera seems to catch things a little too quick, haha.

Thanks for looking!  I hope you’ll play along with us!  And please, check out my fellow DT members projects if you haven’t already.  They are an amazingly talented bunch!  You can find links to all of their blogs along my right sidebar.
