S&S Rock N Rolla July Challenge

Hello!  I’m running around last minute trying to finish up things from this month, and get things done for the beginning of next month!

So, here are two ATCs that I was inspired to make after watching the video that is the Rock N Rolla Challenge this month at Smeared and Smudged.

These gals are digi stamps from Smeared Ink.  They reminded me of Kerli and her “bubblegoth” style.  I drew little topiaries on the one(like from the beginning of the video)…and I put a little clock embellishment on the other one because the paper reminded me of the wallpaper from the video.

Loki’d!

So, I have a soft spot for some of the not so savory characters from comic books and movies.  I just can’t help it.  I like the misunderstood “bad” guys.  So my project today features my all-time favorite Marvel character from both comics and films…Loki!

I made a chunky page, using a digi from Simply B Stamps.

If you don’t know what “Loki’d” means, then you really need to watch this video here.  I Red heart Tom Hiddleston so much!

Musically Challenged Challenge #5!

Hello again!  I’m back with a project I made for our latest challenge at Musically Challenged.  This time we’re drawing our inspiration from a personal favorite of mine…Tonight, Tonight by The Smashing Pumpkins.  I’ve always loved the song, and the video is very cool, too.

We’re sponsored this time around by The Octopode Factory, so that’s where the character images I’ve used are from.  I drew the zeppelin myself.  I made a mixed media canvas piece.

I used some Distress Ink for the “blood” around the bone paper and on the inside.  You just don’t mess with grumpy dragons, you know.

A Day For Daisies Challenge #73

Hi!  I’m running a bit behind, apparently.  I made an atc for the challenge over at A Day For Daisies – the challenge was to use some distressing – but the link up is already closed.  I thought I had enough time…oh well.  But since I did make something for the challenge, I thought I’d go ahead and share what I made.

Of course the image is from A Day For Daisies.

I used Distress Inks and a distressing tool.

Movie Magic Monthly does Marvel Films!

Woo hoo!  This month’s challenge at Movie Magic Monthly is near and dear to my heart.  Our challenge this month is for you to draw inspiration from any of the Marvel comics films!  I’m a comic geek, so I’m happy.  My all-time favorite Marvel characters are Deadpool and Loki(I like misunderstood/insane villain types), but since we need to be inspired by one of the films I went with one of my favorite scenes from The Avengers.

I used two great images from The Octopode Factory.  I made chunky pages!  These are so fun to make.  I attempted to draw city street backgrounds for them.

The Green Fairy

Hello!  Only a few more days left to enter our current Romeo & Juliet vs. Moulin Rouge challenge.  Here’s a card I made using a beautiful image from Rick St. Dennis.  It reminded me of the green fairy.  I always loved that part of Moulin Rouge when they drank the absinthe.Smile
