The Whisper Men

Hello all.  I don’t always show you my art journal pages individually, but I really like this one.  If you know very much about me you’ll know that I’m a total nut for all things Doctor Who.  I finally had a chance to see the recent season finale and I was very inspired by some of the villains in it…The Whisper Men.  So deliciously creepy!

Also, most of you probably know that I post weekly journal prompts in the Art Journal Every Day section of Smeared and Smudged.  The prompt I posted this week was “Something Wicked This Way Comes”.  I actually posted the prompt before I saw the episode of Doctor Who, so it all just kind of worked out.Smile

Here’s the page I created.  The graveyard scene stamp is from Smeared Ink.  Everything else was done by me.

S&S Junk Funk Challenge

Hello.  I’m back again with another last minute project for this month.  This one is for the May Junk Funk Challenge at Smeared and Smudged.  This month’s challenge item is index cards.

I used mini index cards and some scrap cardboard to make this mini art journal.

All of the journaling is lyrics from My Chemical Romance.  I’m going to miss those guys.

All stamps from Smeared Ink.

And for size comparison…

I had a blast making this!  Thanks for looking!

S&S Freaky Freebie Challenge

Hello again.  I’m trying to get a bunch of stuff done before the end of the month, because I tend to forget about things till the end of the month.

So here’s a page I made for the current Freaky Freebie Challenge at Smeared and Smudged.

I actually have the rubber set of stamps that this gal is from, so I used a couple of those as accents on the page.  All stamps from Smeared Ink.  I used watercolor paints to make a camo-ish background.

Dueling Quotes

Hello!  I made a couple more things for our current challenge theme of Star Wars vs. Star Trek at Movie Magic Monthly, so I thought I’d share them with you today.

The project on the left is a cross-stitch, using a pattern from PixelPower.  And the project on the right is a journal page, using an image from MayzyArt.

Here are some close-ups…

Thanks for looking!  I hope you can find time to play along with our current challenge.  If you do, don’t forget to link up your creations HERE.

New Challenge Blog!

Hello!  I’m here today to show you a project that I made to go along with a brand new challenge blog that I’m very excited about!  It’s called Musically Challenged and every two weeks there will be a new challenge inspired by a music video.  How cool is that?

Their first challenge is based on the video for Jaded by Aerosmith.  I’ve always loved Aerosmith!  And this video is incredibly inspiring.  I was personally inspired by the parts where there was writing on a steamy mirror, and when the girl’s hair was blowing across her face, and the ending.

Here’s the journal page I made…

This page also goes along with Art Journal Prompts – Week 69 (Heavy Metal) on Smeared and Smudged.

May Smeared & Smudged Member Hop

Hello!  Welcome to the May Smeared and Smudged Member Blog Hop.  You should have made your way here by way of the wonderful Black Dragon.  If not, the entire hop list is below for your convenience.

Our theme this month is “Anything Goes”, so there should be lots of amazing projects along the way.

I decided to also play along with the current challenge at Smudgy Antics, which is to “Alter a Box”.

Here’s the box I started with…

And here’s what I ended up with…

Here are more views of the various parts…

It is just the right size for my mini dominoes.

Digi stamp is from Smeared Ink.  So is the barbed wire stamp, but it’s from the Smeared Ink Rubber Club.  I added a little bit of Diamond Glaze to the top image.

Thanks for looking!  Your next stop is Kristy.  She’s sure to have something awesome for you to see.  Happy Hopping!
