Belated Blogiversary Giveaway!

Hello!  I am a month late, but I’m finally posting my giveaway in honor of this blog existing for over 3 years now, and I’ve recently passed the 100 follower mark, too!  Thank you so much to all of you that follow my posts!  And extra thanks to all of you that leave me such kind comments!

I decided that I wanted my giveaway to be international, so I’m choosing to give digital gift certificates as prizes.  The places I’ve chosen are some of my favorites, and they’re also places that have digital and physical products for sale, they’ll ship internationally(at least for the most part, you’ll have to make sure they will ship to you), and they sell digital gift certificates.Smile

So since I have had my blog for 3 years I’ve decided to give 3 prizes.

Prize No. 1 – A $25 Gift Certificate to Simply Betty Stamps

Prize No. 2 – A $25 Gift Certificate to Bombshell Stamps

Prize No. 3 – A $25 Gift Card to use at Etsy.com

To enter, just comment on this post.  You don’t have to share with others, but if you want to, go ahead!  If you do share, I will give you an extra entry into the giveaway.  There will be 3 separate random drawings for the prizes, so it is possible to win more than one prize.  If you do not want to be entered into one of the drawings just let me know in your comment.  If you earn an extra entry from sharing, you just need to comment again to let me know where/how you shared.  This all made sense in my head, so hopefully I haven’t confused anyone too much!Winking smile

This giveaway will be open until 11:59 pm, December 1st, 2012.  Drawings will be held on December 2, winners announced December 3.

Thanks for looking!

Hugs,

Laura

Fine Print:  The prizes will be purchased by me after the drawings.  This giveaway is not sponsored, or endorsed by any companies.  You are responsible for any taxes, customs, shipping, or other expenses incurred on your end.  If you are a winner you must provide me with a valid email address for delivery of your prize.  By entering this giveaway you are agreeing to follow all TOU and policies of the shops if you win.  If I’ve forgotten anything, please feel free to ask questions.

So Very Far Behind

If you hadn’t noticed, I haven’t been blogging much lately.  I haven’t been doing a lot of crafting lately.  I realized recently that I didn’t share pictures of the ATCs I received from the August Blissfull swap, so I thought I’d do that now, before I forget again.

Here are the ones I sent…

And here are the ones I received…

I especially love the Red Riding Hood one.Smile

Thanks for looking!  I’ll be back soon with my belated blog anniversary giveaway.

Twilight: Breaking Dawn Blog Hop

Greetings!  Welcome to our hop!  You should have arrived here from the Amazing Alison’s blog.  Here’s what Alison had to say about this hop…

“I decided that since this was the last movie, I needed to do one last Twilight hop. One more hurrah before it was all over. So, I asked which of my fellow Twi-friends wanted to hop along with me. Happily, there were 6 gals that wanted to join me. So there are 7 awesome stops in this Blog Hop. And we all made some fabulous, Twilight inspired projects!”

Here are the creations I came up with…

Poe-etic Smeared and Smudged Hop

Blog Roll:

I love Poe.  I’ve loved Poe for as long as I can remember.  My mother read/recited the lines of The Raven and Annabel Lee to me when I was a kid…and I instantly fell in love with his words.  So I’m pleased to be a part of this blog hop that honors Poe’s poems along with other members of Smeared and Smudged.

Since Annabel Lee was one of the first poems of Poe’s that I read I decided to use a quote from this poem on my project.  I used little letter stamps from The Paper Studio to stamp the words with ink.  All the rest is acrylic paint.  It’s a 6x8 canvas panel.

100_7058

I’m no expert painter, so some of the proportions are a bit off, but it was still fun to paint someone that I love.

SmudgeFest Day 7

Hurray!  I made it through the whole week of SmudgeFest!!  Today’s challenge is Sketchy Sunday.  They’ve given us a sketch to work with for today’s project.

Here’s the card I made, featuring one of the Chicks Dig Guns stamps from Smeared Ink.  Papers from DCWV, Core’dinations, and 7Gypsies.  Tissue tape from Tim Holtz, as well as the mini gear.

100_7023

100_7024

Thanks for looking, and for sticking with me through this week!  Thanks for all of the nice comments!  It has been a fun week for creating!

Sometimes I listen to music while creating.  Today’s soundtrack included Jefferson Airplane, Neil Diamond, John Lennon, and Electric Light Orchestra.Winking smile  Now I’m listening to Nightwish.  And there’s your useless information for today, haha.

SmudgeFest Day 6

Whew!  Six days down, one more to go!!  Today’s challenge is Saturday’s Song.  And the song was a great one!  The challenge is to make an ATC inspired by Blackbird(the super awesome Beatles song).

I used a Scratch-Art trading card to make my ATC.  I used the Standing Raven stamp from the Holy City set from Smeared Ink.

SmudgeFest Day 5

Hello!  I am back again!  Today’s challenge is Freebie Friday.  We were given a super cool freebie to use on our projects today.

I made a sign for my daughter’s bedroom.  I also used the tree digi from the Owlets Digi Set from Smeared Ink.  And some letter stamps from The Paper Studio.

And hanging in her room.

She’s pretty happy with it.Smile  Thanks for looking!

SmudgeFest Day 4

Yes!  I’m so happy that I’ve been able to play along every day so far!  Today’s challenge is Thursday Throwdown.  It’s a color challenge.  Here are the colors you have to use, well at least use 3 of them…

I used these colors to decorate a cheery little coffin.  And I promise that the blue looks lighter/brighter in person.*grumble* stupid camera *grumble*

100_6999

The sharpies weren’t the best idea for coloring on top of gesso.  Ah well.

100_7001

I used my sharpies to color some plain white ribbon for the sides.

I used the Rose Coffin stamp from the Candy is Dandy set from Smeared Ink.  It’s one of my favorite stamps.

Thanks for looking!  I’m excited to see what challenge tomorrow holds!

SmudgeFest Day 3

Woot!  I’m back with a project for day 3!  Today’s challenge is Wordy Wednesday, to only use words(no images) for your project.

I actually had a lot of fun with this one.  I used word stamps from the Li’l Grumpies set from Smeared Ink to make this canvas.(along with some acrylic paint)

I’m calling this one “A Cry for Affection”, it’s like a little conversation going back and forth.Winking smile  Just imagine a little sweet sad face at the end, hee hee.

100_6992

100_6994

(so you can see how little it is)

Thanks for looking!  Hoping I can play along again tomorrow!

SmudgeFest Day 2

Yay!  I’m back for day 2!  Today’s challenge is Trashy Tuesday, to create a project by upcycling some of your trash.

So, I decorated an empty(and cleaned out) sweetened condensed milk can.  But it gets better because I used trash to decorate it, too.Winking smile  I stamped on to some packing paper and some thin cardboard packaging and put them around the can.

I used the Candy is Dandy set from Smeared Ink.(only I used the rubber stamps)

SmudgeFest Day 1

Smeared Ink is hosting their second annual SmudgeFest!  I had so much fun playing along with the week of challenges last year that I decided to try and give it a go this year.  Today’s challenge is Monday Mash-Up, to use at least three items off of a list of things on your project.  I chose to use ribbon, metal, and paint.

I made a door hanger, using the Heart Wings – Cracked Heart image from Smeared Ink.  I used an embossed piece of metal.  I painted it with purple acrylic paint, then sanded some of the paint off.

Thanks for looking!  Hopefully I’ll be able to play along again tomorrow!
