Hello! This project is a last minute entry for the HDH Macabre Monday – Chunky ATC challenge.
It might not look elaborate, but it took a long time to make. I adhered page after page after page to make this. I threw a ribbon “bookmark” in between some of the layers. I coated three sides with molding paste to give it some texture. I painted those three sides red…then applied crackle glaze, then dark grey paint. I painted a metal washer black and adhered a cog to it, then put it on the front. I carved my own alchemical symbol stamps.
See here…
(top row, from left to right: sulphur, mercury, salt. second row, left to right: moon, sun.)
I used archival gold ink to stamp. I used a gold Sharpie for the lettering on the side.
(the letters used to be lead )
Thanks for looking!
